Клаус Фридрих Берген (нем. Claus Friedrich Bergen; 1885-1964) — немецкий художник-маринист, баталист, иллюстратор; получил художественное образование в Академии художеств в Мюнхене (Akademie der Bildenden Künste München). В Первую мировую войну участвовал в походе на подводной лодке SM U-53. В 1944 году был внесён в "Список талантов от Бога" (Gottbegnadeten-Liste) — германский вариант отсрочки (брони) от мобилизации незаменимых деятелей культуры. На мой взгляд, звучные и достоверные морские произведения Клауса Бергена — это образная художественная лоция по истории Рейхсмарине.

Claus Friedrich Bergen (1885-1964) was a German marine painter, battle painter, and illustrator. He received his art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. During World War I, Bergen took part in a cruise on the submarine SM U-53. In 1944, he was added to the "Gottbegnadeten-Liste" (List of God-given talents) — a German deferment (reservation) from mobilization for irreplaceable cultural figures. In my opinion, Klaus Bergen's resonant and authentic maritime works are a figurative artistic navigation chart through the history of the Reichsmarine.
